It is common to express the national spirit with highest arrangement however showing the national arm and assets with presence of president and head of state. in the independence day of any country. Bangladesh also doing such from the beginning as her best.  In this day the Dhaka city becomes a city of light and joy. The park, restaurant and entertainment places become crammed full place. The newspapers publish special issues; the media broadcast daylong unique programs.

What about grassroots celebration?

In this year we went a remote area, 120 kilometer from Dhaka and have captured the “Grassroots’ celebration”. We are impressed to see the huge participation of young and students. All the school, collage and educational isstiute joined in the local event and performed song, dance, parade and fun-acting etc. Although there is no wide media coverage and national reorganization but the children and young spirits show their impressive patriotism with total devotion with the patronization of local civil society and administration. Muktagacha starts the day by offering flower in local monument. From the early morning, children and youth start to gather in “RK High School” ground with flag and festoons. The entire environment moved with the joy of freedom.


To revel the grassroots real mode of Independence day celebration we also join with local people and made this documentary. To inspire and involve the children and youth this documentary will be screened in the Machizo's upcoming event “Grassroots Educational Video Festival for Youth and Children” at Muktagacha in Mymensing. .
